19 to graduate from Latino Entrepreneurs program tonight

Lehigh University’s Small Business Development Center will graduate 19 Latino entrepreneurs tonight.

Revenue from table games was up sharply in May at the state’s 11 casinos. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reports that revenue of $62.76 million was 13.6 percent higher than May 2012. There were 1,042 table games in May 2013 and 1,031 in May 2012.

Construction on $13M office complex slated to begin

A Bethlehem-based commercial real estate agency and developer is looking to start construction of a $13 million professional office complex in the Poconos that could bring up to 200 jobs to the region.

Penn Hills Enterprises has sold the former Evergreen Golf Club to Stroud Township. According to Wilkins & Associates Commercial Brokers, which represented the owner, the property, which previously operated as a nine-hole public golf course has been closed since 2010.

As many as 1.5 billion kilowatt hours may have been saved by phase one of PPL Electrical Utilities Act 129 energy saving efforts.

Gov. Tom Corbett has signed into law legislation prohibiting abortion coverage in health insurance offered through the federal health insurance marketplace in Pennsylvania, his office announced today.
